Biography
Courtney was born and raised in Utah, although she has also lived in Idaho, Missouri, Kansas, and Texas. Her desire to be around family and the beautiful Utah mountains keeps bringing her back! She graduated with her master’s degree in Marriage & Family Therapy from Abilene Christian University. While in grad school, she had the opportunity to work with children, teens, and adults of all ages.
She particularly enjoyed internships co-facilitating a campus LGBTQ+ support group, a sibling support group for those with an intellectual or developmental disability, and working with men in family violence prevention and batterers intervention and protection programs. She is passionate about helping individuals, couples, and families create hope, healing, and happiness. She’s still considering returning to school to get her doctorate in neuroscience, but this won’t be anytime soon! When away from work, Courtney can be found spending time with family and friends, hiking, shed hunting, playing the piano, or watching the latest crime documentary.
